Playing around during this " Invasion" with some different support vehicles that might be useful during the BS. Found the Dragon packs a nice punch while the trebuchet got eaten alive by the bullfrog. Anyone else know of less popular, grinding out a BS because your army is decimated, units?

I'm planning on mg turrets, light chem tanks and wimps with megas and air support. Wimps and mg turrets are doing a good job against the invaders, I have plenty of them and they heal fast and cheap. BS will probably be harder than these invaders and have raptors, flying and spider zombies. So we will have to fast adapt when it start.

I almost feel like I'm cheating using the mg turrets. Just got mine to R6 and they can finally take a hit. A good point to raise is their effectiveness against flying targets. I think we'll see more than 1 flying wasp at the end. I don't really pvp so I have limited experience in game with their AAircraft ability. If there are many flying foes I would probably put one in the front one in the second row so it lasts a little longer. My aircraft don't hold up against the bullfrogs very well, I hope the advanced/new infected aren't heavy on the acid attacks.

Elemental trooper is still amazing, especially at disabling colossi and soaking hits from frogs and cannoneers. The F10 is also great at clearing the last row by itself, at least at lvl 7 (where mine is), just make sure to aim it's middle ability at the leftmost square in the back for the most damage (squares toward the right take more damage).

I found laser troopers and arctic troopers great in every boss strike so far, since they're relatively cheap, dodge a lot, and can be revived in less than an hour at a max-rank hospital. Put one in, burn a nanopod to rush the healing, and it's ready for the meat grinder again.

I second the MG turrets. They tear up the infected. I had one battle where it was two rows of infected, no colossi or bullfrogs. I won the battle in two turns because of some lucky crititcal hits. As Legion said the primary attack will hit air units and the secondary attack will hit only air units. If you need to level them up take them to the boar badlands. They rip through critters too. They will hit the second row even if a critter or infantry unit is in front. Promoting mine to R6 right now, and it didn't seem to take long to get here. It is nowhere near the grind to level them up like megas or wimps.

Turrets will definitely be valuable, they worked pretty well last strike too. Ranked up my turrets this weekend...waiting for my elementals to finish promoting and then will start MG turret promotion to R6 so I have it for most of BS. Building a whole bunch now too, since they don't cost resources (only gold) so I have plenty on hand for BS.

Yeah I just got my Megas and Trebs to 6. Now I have to get my turrets, lct, and dragons up. I also recommend chuckers. They seem to take less damage and are cheaper to repair. They're great to pair with wimp spam.

I'll repeat MG turrets and second element troops. I would also put up mammoth riders up as a good bate/sand bag that hits back, type unit the canon is not to bad and can hit air units it has a lot of hp and only cost coin to heal. Also it heals in the hospital not the repair bay.

Yep. Definetly LCTs, wimps, dragons, and MG turrents. Also if you have a ranged fragment, that can pretty much solo the BS.
